It’s no secret that today’s students need to have skills that extend far beyond what is taught in a textbook. Digital-age skills include creativity, communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and so much more. But how do we teach these? And when?

In this recorded edWebinar, Dr. L. Robert Furman takes us on a journey to uncover what the modern learner needs and supplies us with an 18-week “Future-Ready Challenge” to help systematically transform our classrooms into the digital-age environments they so desperately need. For educators and school leaders interested in improving student outcomes, accept the challenge.

This recorded edWebinar is part of our Emerging Tech series on The Portrait of a Modern Learner. During the course of this year, we’ll be presenting a series of edWebinars that address the traits and skills required for today’s students to be successful both now and in life beyond school. We will examine various facets of school life at all levels, leaving participants with myriad resources and immediately applicable action steps to make a student-centered modern classroom a reality.

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to all educators from the elementary through secondary levels.
