Has remote learning depleted your budget? It doesn’t have to! In this edWebinar, we feature a highly effective consortium model to build digital collections at a fraction of the cost. The model is adaptable and new states are coordinating personnel and resources to replicate it across the country.

Please watch Michelle Luhtala, Library Department Chair at New Canaan High School in Connecticut, as she interviews Jennifer Keohane, Executive Director of the Connecticut Library Consortium, about how this program is promoting equity and access throughout her state and how it can benefit school libraries elsewhere.

This recorded edWebinar will be of interest to teachers and librarians of grades 6 – 12.

Jennifer KeohaneAs Executive Director of the Connecticut Library Consortium (CLC), Jennifer Keohane leads a small but dedicated staff who bring savings, innovation, and education to their colleagues across the state. The CLC—a non-profit consortium serving over 800 libraries of all types and sizes in Connecticut—achieves its objectives through ongoing dialog with members, collaboration with library and non-library organizations, and a lot of creative problem solving. Jennifer’s background in management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and front-line public library experience has allowed her to bring creative new business strategies to the CLC. Her specialties include for-profit and non-profit management, product development, strategic planning, grant-writing, training and teaching, and community outreach. Jennifer believes it is time for libraries to be loud about their unique benefit to their communities and important role in society, and calls herself a Loud Librarian who strives to help them achieve this goal.
